    Device box must be set at least 0.25"

    Wallo, I love the idea of this product but my first time ordering to cover a ceiling light box in an older home turned out to be just okay. If your device box is not set deep enough, the round backing over the hole does not allow the cover to be set flush against the ceiling. This results in a very ugly gap. I ended up solving the problem by cutting away the round backing ring with a multi-tool, which worked well enough to close the gap between the cover and the ceiling. The only caveat was that the friction heat from cutting the plastic ring warped the cover, and now there are slight warps in it.

    I really wanted this to be a 5-star product and I'm sure that in a new construction home where the devices are fastened to the joists according to modern building code, this product would be a perfect fit. I would caution anyone considering this product to double-check that their ceiling device box is set in at least 3/16" before purchasing.

    Ideally Wallo could invent a APR-0501 "B" without the backing ring, that could be mounted flush to the ceiling - even if the device box itself is flush.

    These panels are well made and a breeze to install. This design has made our production teams more productive as the time savings on installation between these and the traditional square access panels is meaningful. Highly recommend!

    It works and covers the drywall holes adequately, you may need, like I did to enlarge your hole slightly to make it sit flush with the wall.
